Description

The stakes may seem high, but players must defuse or lose in YULU‘s latest game. The suspense seems pretty fair though, since the whole point of Cut the Wire is to compete against your friends to prevent a ticking device from going off.

The game itself is a red device with a series of wires connecting both ends. Throughout the game, players will be responsible for cutting different wires to try to defuse the device, thanks to the help of a chunky pair of (kid-safe!) pliers. Each wire is indicated by a color and shape, with a grand total of nine potential wires that players will successfully defuse or accidentally set off.

The game’s size makes it portable and easy for kids to take to a friend’s house for game night and to easily pass it across the table as all the players take turns.

Kids can take on the challenge solo or put their skills to the test with up to 10 people. Players will roll a die and perform one of the four actions shown, such as get a private clue, get a clue and then cut the wire, or get a clue but force an opponent to cut the wire.

The clues will help players figure out which wire is dangerous and which are safe to cut.

This game gets intense. It tests critical thinking skills, memory, and thinking ahead. For example, it’s crucial to use some strategy here, like making an opponent who hasn’t gotten a clue yet try to cut the wire for a greater chance that he or she will pick the incorrect wire.

Unless you have enough clues, pretty much each time you cut the wire is high-key stressful. You never know if you’re going to accidentally cut the danger wire, or hope that you’ll cut a dud wire if you’re going in without any clues.

To add to the high-intensity fun, the background music is also SUSPENSEFUL. You’ll either hear a neutral noise that indicates you cut a dud wire, a victory sound for defusing the wire, or an explosion sound for cutting the danger wire. Womp womp.

If this way of playing doesn’t increase your heart rate at all, then try the timed mode. In this version of playing, everything remains the same, except that players only have 15 seconds to make a decision to cut the wire. If a player doesn’t make an action within 15 seconds, then the device explodes anyway. Womp womp woooooomp.

Each round of Cut the Wire can be completed quickly, making it easy for players to play round after round of this tricky and faced-paced good time.

Features:

  • HOW TO PLAY: Players compete to see who will cut the right wire, defuse the device, and save the day. Use secret clues for hints to help figure out how to avoid cutting the wrong wire and losing the game.
  • GAME INCLUDES: Game includes 1 Device, 1 Wire Clipper, 1 Playing Dice, and 1 Game Rules
  • MULTI-PLAYER GAME: Up to 10 players can play
  • GIFT ITEM: Great gift item for family play and kids ages 6 and above

Great experience. I ordered 7 Youtooz vinyl figures from Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. I had some requests regarding when items would be shipped, and splitting the in-stock and pre-order items. They were easily able to accommodate these requests, and I already received the 6 in-stock items without issue. Excellent customer service, highly recommend!

I highly recommend to buy games from this respectful company. Their customer service response time just unbeatable even compare to Amazon or other big retail company. Long story in short, I ordered wrong game for order cancellation, I thought most of reply template will be "Sorry to hear that, but order has been processed." But the customer service replied me under 15 min, and informed me the refund.

My purchase arrived in two days. I needed to follow up to confirm something and when I emailed their customer service I actually got a human with a name. We corresponded! It felt like I was talking to the owner and that he had time for me and really cared. These are the good guys and I need to remember to go to Shopville first when purchasing online.

Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Venture forth to our comprehensive FAQ repository or contact us, and we shall assist you.

Is Shopverse secure?

Yes, we go full fortress mode to keep your data safe. Your payment and shipping info is encrypted by Shopify, PayPal, and Shop Pay (thanks, Stripe and Shopify Payments).
Worried about us snooping on your bank details? Don’t be, because
A) We couldn't if we wanted to.
B) We’re geeks, not spies.

Who do you use for shipping?

We ship with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and Canada Post — because teleportation isn’t a thing yet. If you’re loyal to a specific carrier, let us know, and we’ll do our best. But hey, if their rates are wild, we’re not footing the bill.

Don’t worry, though — no matter who delivers it, your order is guaranteed to arrive in pristine, nerd-approved condition. If not, our No-Hassle Return Policy will swoop in like a caped crusader. You’re welcome.

Where is my package?

Tracking your package? The carrier's official tracking site has all the latest intel. You’ll find a link to it on your order detail page once your order ships. Pro tip: We don’t have secret insider info beyond what the tracking page shows (and neither does the carrier, FYI).

If the tracking hasn’t updated for 10 days straight, hit us up or contact the carrier, and we’ll start an investigation. Because lost loot is no joke.

How do I cancel / make changes to an order?

Need to tweak or cancel your order? Shoot us an email or message us on Facebook ASAP. If you catch us before 4:00 PM Mountain Time on the next business day, we’ll make the magic happen.

But fair warning: once your order’s processed, it’s game over for changes or cancellations. (And yes, processing can happen before it’s marked as shipped, so don’t procrastinate!)
